How to Play
Explore real-world locations to find hidden items that can be redeemed for cash prizes.
Join the game by downloading the Surviving the Unknown app and creating your profile so you can receive gifts, awards, and cash prizes.
Two things are required before you can upload discovery videos and receive prizes:
- 1.Create your survivor profile — Without a profile, the app cannot save your discovery videos or process payouts. Your profile is your identity in the game.
- 2.Subscribe to the game — An active subscription unlocks video uploads and Cash App payments. If you're not subscribed, uploaded videos and prize claims won't be processed.
Failure to remain subscribed may result in forfeiture of your winnings.

Subscribe to our YouTube channel for the latest hunts, updates, and featured discoveries from the community.
The Explore page shows a map with items near you.
Each item is marked with either a skull 💀 or owl 🦉 icon, along with its prize value.
Tapping an icon zooms in to reveal a search area marked by a circle. Higher-value items have larger circles. The item may be anywhere inside the circle—not just the center.
When you find an item, tap the Record Discovery button on its map page to record a video of yourself retrieving it.
To upload videos and receive payments, you must:
- ✦Have an active subscription — uploads and payouts are blocked without one.
- ✦Have a created survivor profile with your Cash App username added — this is how we send your prize money.
Prizes are paid through Cash App. Add your Cash App username to your profile to ensure quick payment.
You can track pending verifications on your profile page. If you don't have a Cash App account, you can sign up here.
Videos are required to confirm your discovery and prevent cheating. Interesting or dramatic finds may be featured on our YouTube channel.
After verification, the prize value is added to your score, visible on your profile.
High-scoring players may qualify for the Surviving the Unknown reality show and the chance to win even bigger rewards.
